AVCOR: A DIFFERENT TYPE OF FIRM

Most of our professionals have worked at a large consulting firm at some point in their career. While we appreciate and value the experience, we want to create a different type of firm. We don’t have a complex organization chart and matrix reporting relationships; we only have one practice – Higher Education. Our leadership meetings usually take place around a dinner table, not in a boardroom. And whenever possible, the entire firm is there. Most importantly, we encourage our team members to take on roles and responsibilities they are passionate about.

 

We pride ourselves on a professional but progressive work environment and expect a lot of our colleagues. We hold everyone in the firm accountable for developing lasting client relationships at all levels of the client organization. Our model demands that we oftentimes work independently with a small client team. This requires initiative, attention to detail, and follow-through. Yet we truly value teamwork and support each other in every way we can. We also pride ourselves on open, honest, and frequent debate on ideas and issues impacting our clients and our firm.
